On Saturday, August 27, St. Mary of the Woods School’s middle school boys’ cross country team placed second out of nine teams at the Madisonville Classic.

Coming together as a community of 17 Catholic schools for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic began, the multicolored uniforms of the several thousand students formed the liturgy’s namesake: Rainbow Mass.

Our 15th summer of camp at Gasper River Catholic Youth Camp and Retreat Center was amazing! Our theme this summer was the Woman at the Well. We talked about how Jesus seeks us always, thirsts for us, desires to encounter us and challenges us to change and go make more.

A new reproductive health study was emailed to Western Kentucky University students requesting students at least 18-years-old and female assigned at birth to complete a short survey concerning knowledge on reproductive health.
On March 3, 2022 the Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Owensboro announced to all principals the 2021-2022 winners of the Thanks be to God Contest, which was open to all kindergarten through 12th grade students in the diocese’s Catholic schools during the current school year.
St. Mary High School students, Kate Lurtz and Ashley Sullivan have been selected to attend the Commonwealth Honors Academy.
Our fourth experience of the Lazarus Retreat was held at Gasper River Catholic Youth Camp and Retreat Center on Feb. 18-20, 2022.
