Jill and Steve Hyland
How long have you been married and what parish do you belong to? We have been married for almost 35 years and are members of St. Stephen Cathedral.

How did you end up becoming local Marriage Disciples for The Alexander House? We did the program about seven years ago and benefited from it so much that when we were approached about training to become Marriage Disciples, we agreed and wanted to give back what we learned.

How do you hope this ministry will help couples in our diocese to grow in their marriages? Our hope is that couples will learn what the Church teaches about marriage and how to keep Christ at the center, no matter what struggles they are having.

Drew and Teresa Young

How long have you been married and what parish do you belong to? We have been married for 13 years. We go to Our Lady of Lourdes in Owensboro.

How did you end up becoming local Marriage Disciples for The Alexander House? We went through the program ourselves in 2020. Ever since, we have had it in our hearts to give back to the ministry that helped us realize God’s plan for our marriage and provide hope and support for others.

How do you hope this ministry will help couples in our diocese to grow in their marriages? We are hopeful that this ministry helps couples to learn realistic and practical tools to build and strengthen their marriage. We believe in this ministry wholeheartedly, we have seen its fruits and know that combined with God’s grace this can truly transform your marriage and family.
