BY WKC STAFF

From April 12-17, a group of 39 pilgrims participated in an Easter season pilgrimage guided by chaplain Fr. Carl McCarthy, which took them around the Washington, D.C., area with a theme of “Risen and Sent.”

The trip led them to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Shrine, the National Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Franciscan Holy Land Monastery, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, the 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon, and more. The pilgrimage featured daily Mass and opportunities for prayer, reflection and fellowship.

The trip was made possible through a partnership with Faith in Travel and the Diocese of Owensboro. To learn about future opportunities, visit faithintravel.com/trips.
