Central City faith community at St. Joseph Parish celebrates Jubilee 2025

On Sunday, June 1, Fr. John Ighacho and the faith community of St. Joseph Parish in Central City, Ky., joyfully hosted a special gathering for the Jubilee Year of Hope 2025. The celebration began with a shared lunch, fostering fellowship among parishioners and guests.
I offered a presentation entitled “Pilgrims of Hope: Living the Jubilee Year,” encouraging participants to embrace this sacred time as a journey of renewal and trust in God’s promises.
Following the presentation, Fr. Ighacho led a reverent procession to the church, symbolizing the community’s spiritual pilgrimage into the Jubilee. The event concluded with a prayer service in which participants were invited to bring forward written prayers for hope, placing them at the altar as a visible sign of faith and unity in Christ.
