Cheers for 40 years: Parishioners surprise Fr. Terry Devine
BY NEENA GAYNOR, SPECIAL TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY CATHOLIC
On Sunday, April 28, the parishes of Immaculate Conception (Hawesville) and St. Columba (Lewisport) Parishes successfully surprised pastor Fr. Terry Devine with a heartfelt celebration for his 40th ordination anniversary (officially May 11). Friends, parishioners from various chapters of his ministry, and loved ones gathered for a delicious church potluck (with help from Bill and Dave’s BBQ Pit – Tell City, Ind.) and the lively entertainment of Barry Lanham and his clogging group. It was a blessed occasion for a man who has given so much.
