Christopher French admitted to candidacy

BY WKC STAFF

On Sept. 30, 2023, diocesan seminarian Christopher French was admitted to candidacy, which is the next step of his discernment and formation process toward the priesthood. During this rite, which took place during the Saturday evening Mass at Holy Spirit Parish in Bowling Green (French’s home parish), he publicly expressed to Bishop William F. Medley and the congregation his intention to receive the sacrament of Holy Orders first as a transitional deacon and later as a priest.

In light of annual National Vocations Awareness Week – celebrated this year from Nov. 5-11 – you are invited to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, permanent diaconate, and religious life in our diocese. To learn more, visit owensborodiocese.org/vocations.
