Diocesan seminarians begin new school year

BY WKC STAFF

This fall, the three seminarians of the Diocese of Owensboro begin their fall semester at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in St. Meinrad, Indiana.

Conrad Jaconette, whose home parish is St. Joseph in Bowling Green, is in third theology. Chris French, whose home parish is Holy Spirit in Bowling Green, is in first theology.

Hunter Dickens, who enters seminary for the first time this fall, belongs to St. Thomas More Parish in Paducah and is in his propaedeutic year at Saint Meinrad. This is a year of spiritual pilgrimage, which provides a robust year of discernment in which the men begin to develop “a life of prayer, study, fraternity, and appropriate docility to formation,” according to the sixth edition of the Program of Priestly Formation.

Please continue to pray for our seminarians, and for more men to answer the call to discern the priesthood in our diocese. To learn more, visit owensborovocations.com.
