Two seminarians accepted as candidates for the priesthood

In December 2020, two of the Diocese of Owensboro’s seminarians took their next step toward being ordained to the diocesan priesthood.

On Sunday, Dec. 13, seminarian Christopher Earl Grief was accepted as a Candidate for Holy Orders by Bishop William F. Medley, at Grief’s home parish of St. John the Evangelist in Paducah. Grief is in Second Theology and studies at St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology.

On Sunday, Dec. 20, seminarian Martin Ma Na Ling was accepted as a Candidate for Holy Orders by Bishop William F. Medley, at Ma Na Ling’s home parish of Holy Spirit in Bowling Green. Ma Na Ling is in Second Theology and studies at St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology.
