Confirmation is a special moment in one’s lifelong Catholic faith journey. On Feb. 11, 22 young men and women said “I do” to being strengthened and sealed by the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Owensboro.

On Jan. 22, 2022, the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, over 100 pro-lifers gathered despite the freezing temperatures at the Hancock County High School track to pray for an end to abortion at the Hancock County March for Life.
We had a live nativity at St. William and St. Lawrence Parishes on Jan. 2, 2022, the Feast of the Epiphany.
On Oct. 17, St. Alphonsus Parish hosted our annual Pioneer Dinner with an afternoon Mass officiated by Fr. Anthoni Ottagan followed by a soup, sandwich and dessert meal.
It was a warm, but windy day in Owensboro on Oct. 24, 2021. The sound of live music could be heard from the parking lot. A pair of inflatable dinosaurs high-fived kids as they arrived. There were tables for painting pumpkins, a bean bag toss and other games for the kids, free food, and parishioners handing out candy along the “trail of treats” along decorated tables.
