Fr. Dennis celebrates annual Mass for the blind

On Friday, Dec. 13, Fr. Jamie Dennis, pastor of St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Sorgho, Ky., joined the clients and friends of the Xavier Society for the Blind to celebrate their annual St. Lucy Mass at the Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City, honoring the patron saint of the blind. Fr. Dennis is one of only several blind priests in the United States and has been a client of the Xavier Society for many years. The Xavier Society has provided free Catholic books in braille, audio and large print for people across the globe since 1900.
