Resurrection Parish continues to look to the future

After a tornado during the Dec. 10, 2021 storms destroyed Resurrection Parish in Dawson Springs, the building was deemed a total loss and the property was cleared to build a brand-new church from the ground up. The plans for the new church were recently finalized and a sign was put up with a representation of what Resurrection’s new home will look like.

To date, the parishioners continue to worship in the metal outbuilding of parishioners Donnie and Rhonda Mills, who opened their home to the community after the tornado devastated their church. On Christmas Eve 2021, just days after the storms, Bishop William F. Medley visited the Mills’ property to celebrate Mass with Resurrection’s parishioners.
